How will my job be delivered back to me?

Your job will be delivered back to you as a transport depending upon the value and urgency of your requirement.

What about privacy and security?

No information we collect for order processing or from inquiries is shared with any other company or website. Your information is only used to contact you when necessary.

How can I be assured of a high quality job without a press check?

We provide a complete set of press proofs for all jobs, as well as a bound sample using the exact materials that you specified. Against request, running sheets from a title on press are also sent to get approval on the colour values right from the beginning. Your final job will not be printed until you have approved the press proofs.

When do I receive blueprints or laser proofs?

Blueprints or laser proofs are normally received about 7 days after we receive complete inputs.

What is your turnaround time?

It could be as low as 3 days from proof approval to dispatch and 2 weeks for a large extent, multicolor book.

What print industry services does KS Designers offer?

KS Designers provides complete one-stop service from typesetting to pre-press, printing, binding.

Do I have to know a lot about printing to work with you?

Not necessarily, we have an experienced staff to work with you on your project. We will guide you with helpful suggestions for everything from what paper to use to the best kind of binding. In addition, we provide samples of all materials that will be used before we begin production.

How quickly can you submit a Printing Quote?

You may send a mail your job requirements and specifications in Request for a Quote and we'll provide you a customized cost estimate.

Can KS Designers undertake jobs in different languages?

Yes, we can print in any language that you provide the files for. Sometimes we print the same book in 5-6 languages by creating a black plate change for the text. This way both books can be delivered at the same time.

At what dots per inch (dpi) should I scan photos?

Photos should be scanned at twice the line screen they will be reproduced. Example: Most photos are produced at 133 for B & W and 150 line screen for color and should be scanned at 300 dpi. Scanning higher than necessary does not improve quality.

Who should I contact about the status of my job?

A Client Servicing executive will be assigned to each client to offer personalized service. You will have an email id and a phone number to contact on.

Do you produce books in sizes other than A5 and A4?

We can produce books in most sizes.

Can you supply hardback books?

We can supply hardbacks in quantities of 500 copies or more.

How many books should I order?

Print on demand services. We are able to keep the cost per copy the same to you whether you order one copy, or one thousand copies.

How do I send my files to you?

You can send files of up to 20MB by email. For larger files you can either use an FTP client such as www.YouSendIt.com or post them to us on a CD or memory stick.

Do you check my files for errors?

All files are checked for any obvious layout errors, but we cannot be held responsible for any problems that arise due to files being set out incorrectly. If we do spot any errors we will either rectify the problem or contact you to ask you to make the changes and submit new files.

Can I see a printed copy of my book before the full order goes to print?

Our standard procedure is to print and bind one copy of your book and post it to you for checking. For small orders of 25 – 50 copies we may suggest missing out the proofing stage and going straight to print with the order.

Do I have to see a proof copy or can I send my files for you to print straight away

We are happy to skip the proofing process for urgent orders, but cannot be held responsible for any errors that may arise due to the files being set out incorrectly.

When do I pay for my order?

We ask for 50% payment before we start work on your order. The deposit payable once we have checked through your files to make sure that they are usable. The remaining 50% is payable before despatch of your completed order.

Do you credit accounts?

How do I make payment?

By cheque or bank transfer.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Our turnaround times are 4-5 days for sending a proof copy (if required) and a further 5-6 workingdays for delivery of order after sign off of proof.

How is my order delivered?

We use courier/transport for almost all book deliveries. You will need to be at the delivery address to sign for your books when they arrive.

Do you keep copies of my book files for future orders?
